Heart of Gold Project 3 (2006-2007) is by far the most extensive of the projects, taking a year to produce. We began this work during a PICA residency in August 2006. It has since, in various formats, been viewed at the Bakery, the Moores Building, the Canberra Contemporary Art Space, the Australian Centre For Photography and So That Liberty Shall Not Perish From This Earth won us the City of Perth National Aquisitive Award. This series consists of twelve elaborately staged photographic portraits based on propaganda posters and girlie pin-ups from WWI and II.

There is minimal digital manipulation in these images, we choose to create them with real sets and theatrical lighting.
